What a club! I teamed this head up with an Aldila NV 75 R shaft at 44 inches to create a driver that would give me the optimum combination of control, distance and forgiveness. I have not been disappointed! This club is potentially the best driver I have ever hit. I say potentially, as I have only played it twice but already I know that this is a very, very serious piece of equipment. I have hit my share of drivers and this is, without doubt, the most forgiving club I have ever had. My swing is under construction at the moment, but even swinging as poorly as I am at present, I am still getting amazing results. The other night on the course, off the toe I drove it 240 with ease on a nice draw shape. If only all mish*ts could be that good. Well, they can with this club. Heel hits have been equally well treated. I have posted full reviews on GEA and FGI. Check out the fan base for this club on the GEA. And this is from people that have played lots of drivers. If you strive for consistency with a driver – get yourself the ZT415. Your expectations will be exceeded. And did I mention that you can have better than any other club on the market for half the price? Enough said.

I only played OEM drivers until I stumbled upon Zero Tolerance. I truly feel that the Black Max 415 and its cousin the Premier 425 are as good as any OEM driver made, and better than the vast majority. IMHO, forgiveness is not a burning issue any more with these large heads if one is a reasonably good golfer --- loft and shaft contribute a lot to the forgiveness equation. Having said that, the ZT Black Max can be assembled with the best shaft available, or just your favorite --- without the hassle of special ordering for an OEM or (worse) spending a pile of money and then adding reshafting on top of it. So my Black Max is set up perfectly for me --- it has an Aldila NV-65. Forgiveness is super, but where the Black Max really shines is that more subjective sound/feel category. It simply feels better and sounds better than any driver I've demo'ed. I ordered a square head, as I do not need the draw bias built into most drivers. I simply love this club, and will need no other until ZT tells me that they have a new, improved version coming --- can't see how they will be able to improve on this one, but for now I am 100% satisfied with its performance and the price I paid.

TM, Callaway, the usual suspects. In my stable of drivers I also have an Orlimar Hipsteel 420 and a Bangomatic, both of which are comparably as long as the Black Max but inferior in feel and sound.

I didn't think I would ever find a better Driver than my ZT Crown Jewel 400. Well the Black Max 415 is it. Just as straight as the 400, very forgiving and even longer and more forgiving than the 400. This is a quality club. I have either owned or demo'd every driver our there and this outperforms them all in my opinion.
